JULIE DWYER, MSc, PhD (c)

Julie Dwyer is a 3rd year health psychology PhD candidate, chronic pain scientist, entrepreneur, ultramarathoner, certified meditation and fitness instructor, undergraduate health psychology instructor, and speaker. She has trained over 20,000 people through her business.

Julie is the founder of Centre for Mindfulness NL Inc., a training company specializing in evidence-based wellness education and consulting - the first of its kind in Eastern Canada. Julie partners with community groups, corporate organizations, athletes and individuals to build systems of success, and is an experienced advisor for process and performance.

She holds graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Epidemiology, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Experimental Psychology (Behavioural Medicine) at Memorial University with a research concentration in health and wellness.. Prior to this, she attended University of Edinburgh for her MSc, where she was formally trained in mindfulness-based interventions. Julie has pursued advanced international training in mindfulness, somatic skills, mental performance and trauma.

She is a life-long learned that is passionate about providing evidence-based education in an accessible and exciting way.
